1.      Congratulations to the Varsity football team on their win over Gladstone Friday night with a final score of 20-16. They will be going on to Traverse City Pre-districts this coming Saturday at 1:00 pm.


2.      The JV Football team lost to Gladstone 28-26. They finish the year at 8-1 and
WestPAC champions.


3.      Segment II Driver’s Education classes will be held on November 29th & December 6th from 3:30-5:30 PM and on December 2nd from 8:00-10:00 a.m. in Mr. Voelker’s room.  The last day to enroll is October 31st. Only 36 students will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. See Lizzie in the principal’s office to sign up.


4.      I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. Help support this upcoming robotics season by purchasing a root beer float from the Copperbots during all lunches  on Thursday, October 26th! Each float will cost $2.00.


5.      Any Seniors interested in being in cast or crew for the Senior Class Play need to come to a meeting after school on Thursday in Mr. Heinz's room.


6.      The Study Lab, hosted by TRIO Upward Bound, will be at Calumet HS on Tuesday, October 24th, from 3:30 - 5:30 pm. All interested 9th and 10th graders are encouraged to attend


7.      Students who purchased “Into no man’s land” from the Holocaust presentation last week need to stop by the office to pay for them. The cost of the book is $15.00.


8.      There will be a short meeting for art students interested in the Chicago field trip, tomorrow, after school in the art room.


9.      Due to inappropriate care of our facilities the commons will be closed to students this week.
